Happy Halloween! There's lots of scary, spooky fun going on for this weekend, plus some gentler events to explore the fun side of Halloween and fall. Here's a few ideas with links to find even more events.
Saturday, October 29, 11-2: Pet Costume Contest to benefit Pet's Alive Animal Sanctuary at Petco, Route 9 in Poughkeepsie. Dress your pet up and participate in the costume contest, plus fill their trick-or-treat bag with lots of goodies for our four legged friends. Saturday, October 29, 11:15: Trunk or Treating at Millbrook Fire House. Decorate the trunk of your care and hand out goodies for trick-or-treaters. Participants need to pre-register by calling 845-677-8278 and plan on being at the Fire House by 11 am. The Halloween parade will begin at noon. Saturday, October 29, 11-4: No Scare Halloween at the Museum Village, on Route 17 M in Monroe. Enjoy the fun side of Halloween with games, crafts, a scavenger hunt, a magic show, hay rides, a hay maze, and more. Plus, refreshments. Admission fees apply.
