What’s Happening This Weekend in the Hudson Valley

This weekend, in addition to many fun, family events throughout the Hudson Valley, there will be planned remembrances and memorial services marking the 15th Anniversary of the attacks on September 11.  We have listed a few here, but this is by no means a complete list. Sunday, September 11, 8:30 am: Village of Fishkill Memorial Service at Van Wyck Hall on Main Street in Fishkill.  6:30 pm: A Candlelight Vigil at the Paul Tegtmeier Memorial Site at Hackett Hill Park on Market Street in Hyde Park. Candles will be distributed at 6:30 with the service to begin at 7.  To find other events going on in Dutchess County,click here.

Sunday, September 11; 10-5: Special Exhibit at the Museum at Bethel Woods. See this photographic exhibit by LIFE magazine photographer Grey Villet. Sunday, September 11; 10-3: 3rd Annual Puppy UP! New Paltz Dog Walk to promote awareness of canine cancer and fundraiser for cancer research for both pets and people. Sunday, September 11; 6-8 pm: 9/11 Patriot Day Remembrance and Ceremony and Tribute at the Town of Walkill Memorial Park. 7-8 pm:  9/11 Memorial Ceremony at the Millponds Pavilion in Monroe. For other events going on in Orange County,click here.
