This weekend, while we are celebrating our Dads, why not head out and have some fun at one of the many events going on throughout the Hudson Valley this weekend.
Saturday, June 18; 1-6: Beer Bourbon and Bacon at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds. You can sample a wide variety of beers and bourbons, There will be bacon products you've only dreamed of. 90 breweries will be on hand, plus there's a VIP experience that is pretty cool. 21 and over event only and there is an admission fee. Saturday, June 18; 10-2:30: Soaring Society of America Club Class Championship at Wurtsboro Airport. 18 pilots will be competing for the championship and you can stop by and meet them and see the gliders. A typical day’s schedule has a briefing at 10, glider assembly and preparation between 10:30 – 12:00, and the takeoff around 12:30 – 2:30.To find other events going on in Sullivan County this weekend, click here.
Sunday, June 19; 7:30 am: 7th Annual New Paltz Challenge Run, presented by the New Paltz Regional Chamber of Commerce. The proceeds will benefit the New Paltz Regional Chamber of Commerce and it's community projects. There are 3 courses, a half-marathon, Family 5K, or kid's 1-mile run. Saturday, June 18 and Sunday, June 21; All-day: The Warrior Games, presented by the Department of Defense, will take place at the United States Military Academy.
