School is almost over for the year and Father's Day is just a week away, so this weekend is perfect to get out and have some fun exploring some of the many events and activities the Hudson Valley has to offer.

 

Saturday & Sunday, June 11 & 12: Walkway Marathon 2016 with the Ambition Run, a 2 mile run for disability on Saturday. Sunday will be the Walkway full and half Marathon and Treetops to Rooftops run. Details and registration here.

Saturday, June 11; 10-1: Barryville Farmer's Market, behind River Market in Barryville. Local fruit, vegetables, cut flowers, baked goods, jam, meat, eggs, wine, hard cider, honey, prepared foods, artisan crafts and more.

Saturday, June 11; 11 -4: Fill the Van in Hurley to benefit the Ulster County SPCA, at the Woodstock Hurley Ridge Market. Look for the UCSPCA van and helpm load it up with donations to help the animals. They will also have some of animals that are available for adoption on site in hopes of finding their forever home. Free admission.

Saturday, June 11; 10-12: Fairy Houses and Toad Abodes at the Outdoor Discovery Center at Hudson Highlands Nature Museum. Learn about habitats,while using your imagination to create homes for fairies and other whimsical creatures. They suggest this for adults and families with children over the age of five. Pre-registration not required. Admission is $7 for adults and $5 children;  members are $5 adults and $3 for children.
