What’s Happening This Weekend in the Hudson Valley

After a week of nice weather, it will be a mixed bag for the weekend, but there's still many events not to be missed for this weekend. There's a Master Gardener plant sale, with Cornell Cooperative Extension, in almost every county this weekend plus a lot more. Here's just a few ideas.

Saturday, May 14; 8-3: Freedom Plains United Presbyterian Church Biennial Flea Market, Rummage Sale, Bake Sale and Lunch. If you want to be one of the first in, early birds will get in from 8-9 for only a $10 admission. There will be adult and children's clothing, shoes, coats, children's toys, books, linens, jewelry, household items, pictures, tools, furniture and more. At 1:30, there will be a $5 bag sale. Rain or shine.

Saturday, May 14; 10-3: Annual Plant Sale at Cornell Cooperative Extension on Ferndale-Loomis Road in Liberty. If you love gardening or are looking for a nice gift, this is the sale for you. The Indoor Annual Plant Sale is sponsored by the Master Gardener Volunteer program. You'll find an eclectic assortment of perennials, annuals, herbs, native plants, vegetables, organic varieties, and more. Master Gardener Volunteers to help and answer questions.

Saturday, May 14; 12-6: Gardiner Cupcake Festival at Wright's Farm. Cupcake lovers rejoice with over 30,000 cupcakes to choose from. Enter the amateur cupcake contest. Enjoy food, wine tastings, music, local vendors, and children activities. Admission is $5 with children five and under free. Admission includes free parking, three free bouncy houses, free kids zone, free wagon rides, and balloon animals with cupcake the Clown. Held rain or shine.

Saturday, May 14; 9 to 11: Master Gardener Plant Sale at the Orange County Fairgrounds in the 4*H buildings. See a large assortment of flowers including annuals and perennials, vegetables, herbs and more. Master Gardeners will answer your gardening questions and help you with you plant selections.
