What’s Happening This Weekend in the Hudson Valley

I've just checked this weekend's weather forecast and all I can say is that instead of focusing on the weather, we should focus on celebrating our Moms this Sunday for Mother's Day.

With that in mind, here's a few ideas to do this Mother's Day weekend.

Saturday, May 7; 10-4: Apple Blossom Festival and Mother's Day Picnic at Fishkill Farms. Celebrate your Mom with the whole family and enjoy live music, lawn games, crafts, scavenger hunt, and apple blossom hayrides. They're even offering specially prepared Mother's Day picnic baskets. Saturday, May 7; 10: Bring Mom to the Kite Festival at the Sullivan County Community College in Loch Sheldrake. There will be kite flying demos and the first 200 children there will receive a free kite. Plus enjoy music, an art show, rides, and children's activities.

Sunday, May 8; 2: Mother's Day Chamber Concert at Ellenville Public Library and Museum. Celebrate Mother's Day with the Ellenville Chamber Players. Admission is free.

Sunday, May 8; all day long: Mother's Day Canoeing and Rafting at Kittatinny Canoes on the Delaware River. Moms paddle for free on their special day. Good on a canoe or raft trip, when accompanied by their families.
