What’s Happening This Weekend in the Hudson Valley

It's only 2 weeks 'til Christmas. While holiday shopping is top of mind with everyone, remember to slow down a bit and spend time with family and friends. Here's a few events this weekend that will help you do exactly that.

Saturday, December 12, 12-3: Have your pets photo taken with Santa at Full Circle Vet on Route 9 in Wappingers Falls. Cost is a $5 donation which will go to a local shelter.

Sunday, December 13, starting at 11 am: Free Holiday Screening of 'It's a Wonderful Life' at the Moviehouse in Millerton. It's part of the village celebration. There will be candy canes, cookies and apple cider, plus balloons and coloring books. You could even take a horse-drawn carriage ride through the village.

Saturday, December 12, 10 am: Holiday Duck Print Exhibit and Sale at Morgan Outdoors in Livingston manor. You'll find both professionally framed and unframed prints available for sale. Plus, a special print by well-known wildlife artist Robert Bateman will be a highlight of the exhibit and sale.

Saturday, December 12, 11-4: Historic Ulster County in Gingerbread at the Ulster County Historical Society. See the creative gingerbread houses and structures built to represent many of the treasured historical sites in Ulster County. $10 for general public, $5 for UCHS members,  $7 for seniors & children under 12, free to children 4 & under. $25 for families.

Saturday, December 12, 9:30-11:30: Breakfast with Santa at Graham Skea Lodge at Thomas Bull Memorial Park. Enjoy a breakfast buffet, visit with Santa and performance by Bee Bee the Clown.
