There are  certain movies that you can watch over and over again. Everyone has their opinion as to what movie is the most re-watchable, but, if polled, what movie would top the list? A hint, the force is strong with this film.

Walt Hickey with the polling website FiveThirtyEight has put together a list of the most re-watchable movies of all time using data he compiled from over a thousand responders. Hickey asked people to list the five films they consider most re-watchable.  There were 4,362 entries from 1,169 submissions.

The top answer comes from a galaxy far, far away as "Star Wars" received 98 submissions.  "The Wizard of Oz" was second on the list followed by "The Sound of Music."  Movies from "The Lord of the Rings" series and "Gone With the Wind" round out the top-five.

The poll was also broken down by gender, and while "Star Wars" comes out on top among men, women prefer "The Wizard of Oz" as their top choice.

Interestingly enough the 1994 hit “The Shawshank Redemption” placed 8th, three spots ahead of the movie that won best picture that year, “Forrest Gump.” Not that it matters, but Forrest Gump ranks has my all-time favorite movie!

Here is the complete list of the top 25 re-watchable movies.
