Happy Birthday today (Sept. 16) to guitarist Dave 'Snake' Sabo of Skid Row. He’s 51. Sabo grew up in Sayerville, NJ, down the street from Jon Bon Jovi. Jon Bon Jovi was instrumental in helping Sabo secure a record deal on Atlantic Records for Skid Row. Skid Row with new frontman Tony Harnell (best known for his work as singer of 80's metal band TNT) have a date scheduled for Nov. 7 at The Chance in Poughkeepsie.

Skid Row released their debut album in 1989 and the album multi-platinum with hit singles '18 and Life', 'I Remember You', and 'Youth Gone Wild'. The band went in a heavier direction for their second album, the double-platinum #1 release 'Slave to The Grind'. The band has sold 20 million records worldwide.

Skid Row are on tour in support of the band's 25th anniversary. For more on Skid Row, check out the band's official website here.
