Happy Birthday today (Jan. 27) to drummer Nick Mason of Pink Floyd. He’s 72. Other rockers celebrating today include Thin Lizzy drummer and founding member Brian Downey (65), guitarist Janick Gers of Iron Maiden (59) and singer Mike Patton of Faith No More (48).

Drummer Nick Mason of Pink Floyd is the only consistent member of the band since 1965 and co-writer of the classic "Time". Pink Floyd formed out of London and are one of the most commercially successful and influential groups in rock history. The Darkside of the Moon and The Wall are two of the best selling albums of all time.

Pink Floyd was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1996. The band's last studio album, The Endless River, was released in 2014. Check out the band's official website here.
