Scott Phillips is known as the drummer and co-founder of the rock bands Creed and Alter Bridge. Creed were one of the most popular rock bands of the late 1990’s and early 2000’s featuring Phillips along with singer Scott Stapp, guitarist Mark Tremonti, and bassist Brian Marshall. The band released My Own Prison in 1997 and Human Clay in 2009. In 2000, bassist Brian Marshall left the band and Creed carried on as a three piece and releasing the album Weathered in 2001. All three albums went multi-platinum and the band has sold over 50 million albums worldwide. The band is currently on hiatus.

Scott Phillips and Mark Tremonti formed Alter Bridge in 2004 along with bassist and former Creed bandmate Brian Marshall and singer Myles Kennedy. The band has five studio albums under their belt including their latest The Last Hero which was released in 2016. Alter Bridge just announced a 2017 Spring Tour which will see the band joined by In Flames and Metal Church. Looks like the closest date will be at Starland Ballroom in Sayerville, NJ May 2 which I hope to get to. I got a chance to talk with Scott Phillips and the rest of Alter Bridge last summer during a tour stop at SPAC when the band opened for Disturbed and Breaking Benjamin. Great guys! See photo below.
