Wednesday, April 15: Happy Birthday Phil Mogg of UFO

Happy Birthday today (April 15) to Phil Mogg. The singer for English hard rock/metal band UFO is 67.

Mogg formed the band with longtime friends Pete Way and Andy Parker in 1969 and wrote most of the band's songs, with Way, Michael Schenker and eventually Paul Raymond writing the music. Current members include Phil Mogg vocals, Andy Parker on drums, Paul Raymond on keyboards and rhythm guitar, and Vinnie Moore on guitar. Rob De Luca is the band's touring bassist. UFO's latest album 'A Conspiracy of Stars' was released earlier this year.
