As 2016 comes to a close, here's the final outstanding warrants for the year from the New York State Police. Unfortunately, we know there will be more come 2017.

They ask all of us to help by spreading the word. The New York State Police post these warrants on their Facebook page and, while we have highlighted an individual here, you can see all of this week’s outstanding warrants in the video below.

New York State Police Troop F, Catskill, are looking for 43-year-old James Richmond for grand larceny in the 3rd degree. According to the New York State Police, Richmond is wanted for intentionally cashing a fraudulent check in the amount of $5,050 at a local store in South Cairo. While he did repay $2000 to the store owner, he failed to repay the remaining amount and also failed to return to court to answer these charges. As a result, a bench warrant was issued for his arrest from the Cairo Town Court. He also has a tattoo of a scorpion on his right forearm.

Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of this individual should contact the NY State Police ASAP. You should not take any police-action yourself other than to contact the NY State Police at (518) 622-8600 or email Crimetip@troopers.ny.gov.
