Warrant Wednesday: Columbia County Man Wanted for Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Sexual Abuse

Here are this week’s outstanding warrants from the New York State Police. They ask all of us to help by spreading the word. The New York State Police post these warrants on their Facebook page and, while we have highlighted an individual here, you can see all of this week’s outstanding warrants below.

New York State Police Troop SP, Livingston, are looking for 63-year-old John VanSteenburgh for endangering the welfare of a child, sexual abuse-3rd degree.  According to the New York State Police, VanSteenburgh is wanted by the New York State Police and the Town of Copake Court for charges stemming from a sex abuse case reported to police in March of 2015. Vansteenburgh was arrested in April of 2015, on the above charges and released after he posted bail. The Town of Copake Court issued a warrant ordering his arrest when he failed to appear for court proceedings.
