Friday marks the first official day of Autumn, but it looks like summer will stick around a bit longer, as a warm, humid air mass hangs over most of the Eastern U.S.

Expects temperatures to stay in he upper 70s to lower 80s with a chance of thunderstorms though mid week. Humidity levels will be fairly high as well, so it could get a bit uncomfortable. Lows will be in the 60s, with some patchy dense fog in areas.

The focus of attention has been on Hurricane Jose, as the storm continues to hang around in the Atlantic. Some thought the storm had a chance of moving on shore in the Northeast, but most models now agree that the storm should stay out to sea.

As Jose moves closer to the North the storm is expected to further weaken, but that could still bring the Hudson Valley and New York state some windy days by around  Tuesday and Wednesday. Wind guts could reach around 40 m.p.h in some areas. If you were panning on boating off Long Island, you might want to reschedule.

Of course, we'll take some wind over a full blown hurricane any day. Enjoy your week!
