A wanted felon lead police in Orange County on three separate vehicle pursuits on Thursday. 

On Thursday evening, a Sergeant from the City of Newburgh Police Department observed a vehicle traveling on Broadway, and observed the driver to be a wanted felon.

The driver was wanted in connection to two previous vehicle pursuits throughout Orange County that day. The Sergeant attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but the driver continued on his way leading to a vehicle pursuit.

The pursuit ended in the Town of Newburgh, when the driver lost control of his vehicle. The man was apprehended by an officer and his K-9 partner.

The man was identified as Hector Camacho Jr., 45, of Middletown, NY.

He was placed under arrest and charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, Reckless Driving, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Unlawful Fleeing of a Police Officer, among several other misdemeanor charges.

He was held pending arraignment.
