The big opening of the Hudson Valleys first Golden Corral has been pushed back to later this month.

The Golden Corral, home to the "Best Buffet in the USA" was set to open today on Rt 211 in Wallkill but after a few snags had to push the opening back for 3 weeks.

According to the Times Herald Record, the owners of the new Golden Corral announced on Tuesday that the opening has been delayed. General manger Lance Davis, told the Record that there is still work to do in the kitchen and dining room areas, and key deliveries will be arriving next week, including pots, pans and other kitchen essentials.

The new Golden Corral has had crews working non stop for months on completing the project that will connect the restaurant with the existing Party Zone and once opened will offer kids the chance to eat and play all for the same price, $14.99.

Dinner at Golden Corral will cost $12, lunch will cost $10 and kids not going to Party Zone can eat for $5.99.

The new opening date is set for June 22nd.
