‘Walking Dead’ Binge Watcher Kills Friend Before He Can Turn Into Zombie, Police Say

Holy moly. This is NOT some goofy Halloween story.

According to KOB4 News, Damon Perry got drunk and started binge watching "The Walking Dead" on Netflix. That's when it all started to go bad. The cops responded to a call of Perry running around his apartment complex with a knife, threatening people.

The cops arrived and searched his apartment, where they found his friend Christopher Paquinn dead. Perry admitted to beating Paquinn to death with household items, including an electric guitar and a microwave because he believed he was turning into a zombie.

The worst quote of the story comes from lead detective Sgt. Moses Marquez.

"If you've ever watched the show, you'd know that the only way to kill a zombie is to attack it in its head," Sgt. Marquez said. "Well, when police arrived in this complex, there was a knife inside the victim's head."

Seriously. What the hell? I honestly don't even know how someone can get so drunk that they start to believe this stuff. I've been into the zombie thing for awhile, even have a pseudo-escape plan worked out. But this is beyond the pale.

I'm not trying to make fun of the situation. This is intensely tragic, and I simply don't know how to comprehend this type of stuff.
