In order to save money against the salary cap, the New York Giants have parted ways with Victor Cruz. The colorful wide receiver known for his end zone salsa dance moves, was a pivotal part of the Giants' championship run in 2011.

The NY Daily News says that Cruz had two years left on his contract.

Cruz bounced back from missing most of 2014 and then the entire 2015 seasons to finish with 586 yards and 1 touchdown in 2016.

Cruz never really got ball has much this year, as the focus of New York's offense had switched to Odell Beckham Jr.

Cruz reportedly did not speak to the media today after the announcement.

Running Back Rashad Jennings was also cut Monday by the Giants.
