There really is no way to repay a veteran for all that he, or she, has done for our country. The sacrifices made and, often, the injuries sustained, make it hard to simply say thank you, you want to do more. That's what the United Way of the Orange-Dutchess Region want do in 2017 through the United Way's national veteran's initiative, Mission United.

Mission United will help United Way veterans in Dutchess and Orange counties get the help they need. But, first the United Way of the Orange-Dutchess Region will hold a Community Conversation Around Veteran's Needs, to listen to community leaders, local citizens, and veterans discuss these important community issues and how to make sure our veterans get the services they deserve.

This meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 4 from 10-1:30 at Dutchess Community College, Room 101. There will be panel discussions led by many individuals and organizations throughout the Hudson Valley and will feature Keynote speaker, Dutchess County Legislator and US Army veteran, Marc Coviello, the founder and president of the Hudson Valley Hero Project.

Let your voice be heard. Admission is free, but they are asking that everyone pre-register. Registering on-line is fast and simple and can be done here, or you can call 845-471-1900 (ext 3128). Together, we can all help our veterans.
