An Ulster County man who was wanted for a none drug related offense was allegedly found to be in possession of drugs.

Members of the Ulster Regional Gang Enforcement Narcotics Team (URGENT) developed information indicating 31-year-old Rasean Mack, of Ellenville was at a home on Cape Avenue in the Village of Ellenville. Mack was wanted by Ellenville Police for allegedly violating an Order of Protection in an unrelated case.

After Mack was taken into custody, police allegedly found him to be in possession of  various diverted prescription medications and over $800 in cash.

Mark R. Breslin, 37, also from Ellenville, was with Mack at the time of the arrest and is accused of also possessing diverted prescription medications.

Mack was charged with the criminal possession of a controlled substance and in violation of possessing a prescription medication outside its original container. He was arraigned in Ellenville Village Court and remanded to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash bail or $40,000 secured bond.

Breslin was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and the violation of possessing a prescription medication outside its original container. He was released with an appearance ticket to appear in Ellenville Court at a later time.
