Following an intensive investigation, an upper Hudson Valley man was arrested for allegedly choking a female. The victim had to be hospitalized with serious injuries.

New York State Police at Catskill, arrested 33-year-old Joseph D. Gallogly of Amsterdam for 1st-degree strangulation, assault, felonies, and criminal obstruction of breathing, a misdemeanor.
