An Ulster County man is recovering from injuries he suffered after he allegedly threatened another man.

On Friday, 38-year-old Nicolas M. Tiano of Kingston turned himself into Kingston police on a warrant for criminal possession of stolen property, criminal possession of a weapon and menacing, felonies.

On July 4, Kingston police responded to Adams Street for reports of a man with a gun.

Tiano is accused of approaching a man with a gun. The man grabbed the gun and a struggled ensued over the gun.

Another person helped the man stop Tiano. The two took possession of the gun and held Tiano until police arrived, officials say.

Tiano was taken to Albany Medical Center where he was treated for injuries he sustained during the fight.

After being released, Tiano turned himself in. The gun was reported stolen by the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office in 2010, police say.
