An Ulster County man on parole has been arrested for rape. 

State Police have arrested Christopher A. Johnson, 25, of Kingston for 3 counts of Rape in the 3rd Degree and 1 count of Computer Tampering in the 4th Degree.

An investigation revealed that Johnson was engaging in sexual conduct with an underage female. It is also alleged that he tampered with the victim's smart phone.

Johnson had been released to NYS Parole on June 8, 2017 and had registered no residence.

NYS Parole and the City of Kingston Police Department assisted in the apprehension of Johnson.

John was arraigned in the Town of Ulster Court and is scheduled to return this week.

Johnson was remanded to Ulster County without bail on Violation of Parole warrant.
