Two Children Presumed Dead After Accident at Letchworth State Park

UPDATE: WHAM reports that 6-year-old Preston Giangregorio was found dead Sunday afternoon. His brother, 9-year-old Dylan Giangregorio, is still missing.

The search continues in Letchworth Park after a family went over a waterfall into the Genesee River Saturday evening.

New York State Park Police said that family of seven from Brockport went over the Lower Falls waterfall.

The Democrat and Chronicle says that first responders were able rescue five of the family members. The rescued family members all reportedly suffered injuries after falling into the river, and were taken to Strong Memorial Hospital.

However, two other members of the family were not initially located and presumed drowned. The two missing boys are only six and nine years old.

Page said it appears the family was in an unauthorized area near the lower falls.
