Tuesday Snow Delays: When Does it Start and Just How Much?
We're expected to get snow throughout the Hudson Valley today. Here's what you need to know.
The National Weather Service is predicting snowfall in the Hudson Valley starting with light precipitation in Orange County after 8am or 9am and then moving Eastward through our area.
Dutchess County should see snow starting somewhere around 11am. The winter weather will likely last throughout most of the day, ending in the evening hours.
As far as accumulations go, Orange County could see anywhere from 1 to 4 inches, with the southern part of the county getting more snowfall. Dutchess County is only expected to see around 1 inch and similar, light accumulations are expected in Ulster.
There were already closings and delays posted for some Orange County schools early Tuesday, but not many expected for Dutchess and Ulster. If the snow continues to build through the afternoon there could be early dismissals, so be sure to check back.
