Happy Birthday today (Feb. 6) to Axl Rose. The Guns N' Roses frontman is 56.

One of my favorite rockers of all time, Axl Rose has been frontman for Guns N' Roses since the band formed in 1985. He co-founded the band, and had great success in the late 80's and early 90's. Their first album Appetite for Destruction is the best-selling debut album in U.S. with sales of 18 million. The album has sold over 30 million copies worldwide. The successful Use Your Illusion albums were released in 1991. After 1994, Rose disappeared from the public eye following the Use Your Illusion Tour. He resurfaced with a new Guns N' Roses lineup in 2001. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012 with Guns N' Roses but declined  to attend the event.

As of 2018, the classic Guns N’ Roses lineup have been reunited. A highly anticipated and successful reunion tour took place in 2016 and 2017. I got to see the tour dubbed the Not in this Lifetime Tour... several times including MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ and it was just an amazing show. I was happy to finally see the core, original lineup perform together after being such a longtime fan of the band. For more on Guns N' Roses, check out their official website here. Cheers to Axl on his birthday today!
