Word has come out that Donald Trump will be in Dutchess County this weekend.

Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro confirmed Trump's appearance while attending the Bernie Sanders rally at Marist College on Tuesday.

The Poughkeepsie Journal is reporting that the Donald Trump rally will be taking place this Sunday at the Mid Hudson Civic Center. No further details have been made available as to the time of the rally or how tickets will be distributed.

Over a week ago, Trump's senior advisor and social media director, Dan Scavino, indicated that the candidate was on his way to the Hudson Valley. Scavino teased an upcoming appearance by Trump in the Hudson Valley by saying “THANK YOU- NEW YORK! Exciting announcements in Hudson Valley- next week!”

Dutchess Conty Sheriff, Butch Anderson, was named honorary co-chair of Trump's campaign in New York. It's very likely that Anderson, as well as the other New York Republican party chairs in our area will all be in attendance.

We are still awaiting more details about how voters can gain admission to the Trump rally on Sunday. While Bernie Sanders' rally at Marist College was free and open to the public today, Trump's rallies have traditionally been ticketed events. Tickets to Trump events are free, but they must be reserved ahead of time and are usually limited to just two people.
