Train from Poughkeepsie derails

This morning, the Hudson Valley woke up to the news that a Metro North train had derailed near the Spuyten Duyvil Railroad station around 7:20am

The train was a Grand Central bound Metro North passenger train leaving from Poughkeepsie around 5:50am this morning.

Photos began to appear on Twitter and Facebook from onlookers who heard the crash and arrived on the scene.

Various news agencies are reporting injuries upwards of 63 people. NBC 4 in New York continues to report at least 4 fatalities.

This is an ongoing story, and we will do our best to keep you posted on Facebook and Twitter.
