The holidays are fast approaching and for those folks who enjoy checking out all the local light displays, here's a look at some of your best options. Hudson Valley Parent has assembled 15 for you to check out in 2015.

In Dutchess County, Kevin McCurdy's Holiday Spirit Festival is in Wappingers Fall on Sheafe Rd. Tickets for for adults are a reasonable $12 and anyone under age 11 is $10. There's a great light show, an enchanted forest and you can even stop by Santa's house!

Also in Dutchess, is the ERDAJT Holiday Light Display. This is put on at a private residence and donations are collected for a variety of local charities. They have been featured on CBS, FOX, WPIX and many more. They estimate they'll use over 500,000 lights this year.

In Ulster County, A Frosty Fest takes place on Broadway in Ulster Park. The same creative team that puts on Headless Horseman Hayrides is behind this holiday extravaganza. Frosty Fest features Candy Cane Lane, Frosty's Magical Adventure and much more.

There are several strong options in Orange County too, including Holiday Lights in Bloom at Orange County Arboretum, in Montgomery. They open on 11/27 and admission is free, they're open Friday-Sunday through Christmas.
