The State Labor Department announced today that 5 occupations will see a greater than normal growth in the Hudson Valley for 2015.

The Nanuet Patch reports that job opportunities continue to grow in our region. For example, the Jobs Express website, launched by NY State shows thousands of jobs that are currently available. The top trending job for our area, that the state predicts will only grow in 2015, is registered nurse with a median salary of $76,450.

Besides registered nurse, The State Labor Department predicts that there will be more opportunities for carpenters, mechanics and home health aids in 2015. Here is the list of top 5 occupations that are not only predicted to increase in demand, but also in median wage:
