This week, we report once again, live from The Chance Theater in Poughkeepsie we’re we talk about the top 5 concerts that have taken place at the legendary rock club over the years.

The Chance opened as a vaudeville theater in 1926 as The Dutchess Theatre. The venue showed vaudeville and films at the time. It was closed for many years and reopened as a music venue by Larry Plover in 1970 as "Sal's Last Chance Saloon." He brought in acts like The Police, The Ramones, Muddy Waters, and Pete Seeger. The venue closed once again in 1977 and was reopened again by Pete Francese in 1980 as The Chance.

It was acquired by current owner Frank Pallett in 1994 and he has run it ever since, bringing in such acts as Bob Dylan, David Bowie, Ted Nugent, and countless others.
