The Metal Box is a weekly web series posted each Friday where we be discuss all things hard rock and heavy metal: news, videos, interviews, live concerts and more.
This week we preview Skid Row's 25th anniversary tour making a stop in Poughkeepsie on Saturday night, Nov. 7 at The Chance. Chance owner Frank Pallet is a special guest this week. Skid Row announced earlier this year that they recruited former TNT singer Tony Harnell as their new frontman. The band also released a newly recorded version of the classic ’18 and Life’ which they made available for a free downloadable single on the band’s official website. Skid Row formed out of Toms River, NJ back in 1986. The band was very successful during the late 80’s and early 90’s. During this time, the band released two multi-platinum albums with the lineup of Sebastian Bach (vocals), Rachel Bolan (bass), Dave ‘Snake’ Sabo (guitar), Scotti Hill (guitar), and Rob Affuso (drums). The band’s current lineup in 2015 consists of Sabo, Bolan, and Hill with Rob Hammersmith on drums and Tony Harnell on vocals. The band has sold 20 million albums worldwide.
