Happy Birthday today (Nov. 24) to Rob "Blasko" Nicholson. The former Rob Zombie/current Ozzy Osbourne bassist is 47.

Rob "Blasko" Nicholson toured with Rob Zombie where he began using the nickname "Blasko" and was a member of Zombie's solo band from 1997-2006, playing on the albums Hellbilly Deluxe, The Sinister Urge, and Educated Horses. He replaced Robert Trujillo in Ozzy Osbourne's band in 2003 and performed with Black Sabbath on Ozzfest 2004 along with select Ozzfest 2006 tour dates.  He appears on Ozzy's 2007 album Black Rain and 2010's Scream albums. Some of Blasko's influences include metal bands Iron Maiden, Motorhead, and Corrosion of Conformity. Outside of music, his other projects include a clothing line for  Affliction called the Affliction Blasko Signature Series.

Back in July, Ozzy said that although Black Sabbath is retiring, he has no plans to hang it up yet. He plans to continue with his solo career in 2017. Hopefully we'll see a new Ozzy solo album in 2017.
