Thursday: August 6: Happy Birthday Vinnie Vincent

Happy Birthday today (August 6) to Vinnie Vincent. The one time Kiss guitarist is 63. Vincent played on the Kiss albums 'Creature's of the Night' and 'Lick it Up'. After his departure from Kiss, he eventually formed his own band Vinnie Vincent Invasion. The band released a couple of albums and then broke up in 1989. Singer Mark Slaughter and bassist Dana Strum went on to form Slaughter.

Vincent returned to help co-wrote a few Kiss songs with Simmons and Stanley for their 1992 album 'Revenge' but he then pretty much diasappeared and has been missing from the music scene.
