Thursday, August 27: Happy Birthday Alex Lifeson

Happy Birthday today (Aug. 27) to guitarist Alex Lifeson of Rush. He's 62. He co-founded the band that would become Rush in 1968.

Lifeson was ranked 98th on Rolling Stone Magazine's list of the 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time. According to industry sources, Rush have sold over 40 million records worldwide. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013.

In 2015, Rush toured on the R40 Tour in celebration of the band's 40th anniversary.
