Ryan Shepard has a dream. The Brockport, NY resident, and full time student who works two jobs wants to run for President. And by President, we mean President of the United States of America. Shepard told 13 WHAM

Elections always end up with a Democratic candidate and a Republican candidate and a lot of mud-slinging. All it makes for is people very disenfranchised with the process.

I wonder if I could run for president? I wonder how that would work?  I feel like I have something to offer. Do I think I'm going to win? Not at all!

Shepard knows he isn't going to win, but he feels he has a point to prove. Shepard tlaks about the founding fathers and how they intended people from regular walks of life to keep their day jobs and bring that experience with them as "part-time" lawmakers. Shepard's first move if he were President? Eliminating "career" politicians and limiting the President to one six-year term.

That would give you enough time as President to focus on the issues and not worry about having to run for office in four years. Running takes your focus off what's important.

It appears from the response on social media over the last two weeks that many people in many states agree.  His slogan: Sit down. Have a beer. Let's get to business.

I'm not a suit and tie guy. I'm usually a jeans and flannel shirt dude. But I think my ideas are very valid.
