This is Why You Don’t Take Selfies During a Hurricane [VIDEO]

It goes without saying.

When one of the strongest hurricanes on record is bearing down, you probably don't want to be outside. More importantly, you don't want to be outside taking pictures of yourself.

The NY Post says that this particular man was taking selfe shots as the storm passed the southern coast of the Florida Keys. As most of his neighbors had probably followed orders and fled for their lives, this knucklhead can be seen in the video taking pictures right as the storm hits.

As the waves crashed ashore, the clueless photographer can be seen taking pics on top of a wall. it doesn't take long for him to learn the heard way as you can see a huge wave knock him back.

He's lucky he wasn't dragged out to sea.
