The Top 7 Best (and Worst) Things We Ate in 2016

Our official taste tests allowed us to eat the burger from hell, chocolate that tasted like it fell from heaven and everything in between.

Looking back at 2016, one of our most favorite segments on The Boris & Robyn Show has been our taste tests. Whenever a new food is introduced, we feel like it's our responsibility to try it out first and report to the listeners how delicious or disgusting it is.

Putting our yearly "pumpkin spice week" aside, here are our seven most memorable taste tests in no particular order:

Vinny's Steak Margarita
Last January we were treated to a unique local sandwich that changed the way we looked at steak and pizza forever:

Mac N' Cheetoes
This incredible menu item was only available at Burger King for a limited time in 2016. Here's hoping they bring them back next year.

Milka Oreo Chocolate Candy Bar
Only released in limited quantities, this candy bar has been selling out all over the Hudson Valley. We expect stores to have more of them on the shelves in 2017... until we buy them all.

Southern Hudson Comfort Sandwich
Nominated as one of the best ballpark foods in the country, this chicken and waffle served at Hudson Valley Renegades games is a home run.

The Angriest Whopper
Another limited-edition menu item from Burger King, it was honestly a little hard getting past the bright red bun. But once we did it wasn't too bad.

Carrot Cake Flavored Hershey's Kisses
We wanted to hate this. Really we did. But they were actually pretty good.

Flan
We were flan newbies until the Culinary Institute of America introduced us to this traditional
Mexican dessert on Cinco De Mayo.
