If you are looking for a reason to like Mondays, I think I have the answer. The Poughkeepsie Waterfront Market starts up again on Monday, June 4, and runs every Monday from 3PM-6:30PM through Labor Day. The market will be in the Pavilion at the Mid Hudson Children's Museum at 75 North Water Street in Poughkeepsie.

The Market is a showcase that celebrates and shares the agricultural bounty of the Hudson Valley, including fresh vegetables, fruits, meats, eggs, poultry, baked goods, and more from local Hudson Valley farms. And this year the Market includes Hudson Valley produced beer, wine, cider and spirits, as well as soaps and body products, wool products, bee products and other agriculturally related products. Every market features the Kids Kitchen program, an educator-led workshop in which children and their parents learn to shop the market and then practice preparing a simple recipe. Participation in Kids Kitchen is free of charge and open to the public.

Going back to work on after a nice weekend is always rough, but it will be a lot easier when you have something to look forward to. And the Poughkeepsie Waterfront Market is definitely something to look forward to. For more information, check out their facebook page.
