Which Halloween candy is the most popular among Hudson Valley trick-or-treaters this year? It's an important thing to find out if you want to make sure to keep those little ghosts and goblins happy with treats and avoid having your house "tricked" later that night.
24/7 Wall Street compiled an exhausting list of financial data from candy sellers across the country for the entire year of 2013. They extracted numbers from snack sized, individually wrapped items that are most commonly used for trick-or-treating and have come up with the definitive list of the nation's top 10 most popular Halloween candy:
- Reese's
- M&Ms
- Snickers
- Hershey's
- Kit Kat
- Twix
- 3 Musketeers
- Hershey's Cookie 'N Creme
- Milky Way
- Almond Joy
Just because these are the most popular candies in the country, doesn't mean that they are the favorites here in The Hudson Valley. For example, I was greeted with shouts of horror when coworkers learned that Kit Kat was a mere #5 on the list, below the boring plain Hershey's Bar.
