Snow has been forecast for the Hudson Valley tonight into Friday, But just how much wintry accumulations should we expect?

The Hudson Valley has seen an extremely uneventful winter. In fact, many residents in the area have yet to pick up a shovel or fire up the snowblower. With Spring just a couple of weeks away, many have been knocking on wood, hoping that we truly did escape any major snowstorms this year.

Snow has been forecast for tonight, but it looks as though there's not going to be much in the way of accumulations. The National Weather Service is calling for less than a half inch of snow this evening and less than a half on Friday morning as well. Temperatures on Friday will be above freezing and there is plenty of sun forecast for Saturday that will melt any snow that we do get.

There is a 20% chance of snow on Saturday night, but the extended forecast calls for temperatures to head up into the 70's by the middle of next week, making it appear as though the end of winter may truly be in sight.

How do you feel about the lack of snow this Winter? Are you disappointed we never got that big storm?
