On March 23 there was a pre-dawn fire at the Hudson Valley SPCA in New Windsor. The fire started with a drier hose and took down one of the kennels. Two dogs, Harley and Johnny, were lost in the fire. Five other dogs suffered severe burns. Truly a tragic event for one of the top animal shelters in the area.

More than 20 dogs were displaced by the fire and veterinary bills are mounting.  Insurance will cover some of the rebuilding cost and some other funds are available, but it's not enough to return the facility to where they can continue the valuable work they do.

Please donate whatever you can. If everyone viewing our website gave a dollar or two, it would probably raise the more than $20,000 needed. When you see the pictures on their website, it will give you an idea of just how bad the fire was. Thanks for your help.
