On Saturday night July 4th, The Empire State Building in New York City celebrated the Grateful Dead with a synchronized light show while The Dead were performing their song "U.S. Blues" at Chicago's Soldier Field as part of their "Fare Thee Well" stand.  The LED light show, according to Rolling Stone, was coordinated and created by the band and Empire State Building lighting designer, Marc Brickman.

Fans were treated to the video while The Grateful Dead performed the song during their encore.  We have the video below, it is a great display of lights.
