The Cans for Cans Food Drive This Weekend

They say it's better to give than to receive, but this weekend you can do both. It doesn't get better than that. This weekend, July 14 through July 16, the Foodstock Fund is presenting their Cans for Cans food Drive. All you have to do is pick up a few extra cans when you do this week's grocery shopping. Or check your cabinets. I bet you have plenty extra.

Here is how it works. Bring five non-perishable food items to any of the participating establishments and receive one complimentary beverage. Here are the participating establishments. Arlington Bar, The Exempt Firemen's Association, Junior's Lounge, Darby O'Gills, Juan Murphys, Monkey McGees, The Derby, River Station, Tavern 23, Noah's Ark, Karen's Bar and Grill, The Shamrock Association, and Schatzi's Pub. All food donated will go to the food pantry.
