It is that time of the year again.  Time for the Annual Beacon Sloop Club Corn Festival.  It's always a great time, and delicious too.  The festival will be from noon-5pm at Pete & Toshi Seeger Park, 1 Flynn Drive in Beacon.

The will be lots of hot fresh sweet corn, of course, but that is not all.  You will also be able to enjoy cold sweet watermelon, fresh made chili and more. Plus live entertainment on two stages, both run by solar power.   Main stage performers are April Mae & the Junebugs, Hank Woji, Haynes & Samuel, Heather & Ghost River Gypsy, Jann Klose, Spook Handy.  On the children's stage will be Bindlestick Bill, Chris Ruhe, G Rockwell and the Still River Ramblers, Lydia Adams Davis & Friends, Karen, Melissa & Laurie Siegal, The Brass Street Boys and Vinny & Mel.  There will also be free activities for the kids, environmental displays, food & craft vendors.  It's fun for the whole family, and admission is free.
