The Boris and Robyn Show's "Battle of the Stands" is a yearly event that supports Alex's Lemonade Stand. The charity, started by a young girl named Alex who was diagnosed with cancer, helps families and kids who are fighting childhood cancer.

This year Team Boris and Team Robyn are uniting to form Team Kelsey in honor of Kelsey Berger, a first grader from Wappingers Falls who sadly lost her battle with cancer in April. The Boris and Robyn show hopes her strength inspires others who are battling childhood cancer.

We will be recruiting listeners and local businesses to help collect donations for Alex's Lemonade Stand. The goal is to raise much needed funds, but also have a good time doing it. You can organize your own fun-raiser; whether it's a lemonade stand, a car wash, a bake sale or something completely original. Local businesses can also get into the act by raising money from customers and staff.

Please keep us posted on your fundraising efforts by sending an email to boris@wpdh.com. We will promote your fundraisers here, and also on the airwaves of 101.5 WPDH during the Boris and Robyn Show weekday mornings from 6am to 10am.

Upcoming Events:

  • Visit the Dutchess and Orange Take a Stand Facebook Page to find a lemonade stand in your area.
  • Business Owners: If you'd like to help raise money for the cause and get free on-air publicity during The Boris and Robyn Show, contact us at boris@wpdh.com.

We're just getting started, so for now you can donate online at our official Alex's Lemonade Stand fundraising page. Make sure all of your donations go through this page so they can be added to our Team Kelsey total.

Over the past few years the Boris & Robyn Show's Battle of the Stands has raised over $30,000 and continues to bring in even more donations with the assistance of the WPDH listeners. That money goes to help fund cancer research projects and help families travel to get to potentially lifesaving treatment through Alex's Lemonade Stand's Travel For Care program.
