meat at the movies

The weather may be looking better that it has during the week but that doesn't mean its not a good time to see some pretty decent movies. Including Keanu Reeves return to something worth seeing! Starting with the least exciting movie as usual, a horror, which seems to be so hard to do these days...

I'm very excited, the weather is getting colder (at least it should be) and it's becoming movie season again. Nobody wants to go outside, because, well, who knows what the weather will be.

A family comedy, a drama and an action/horror/adventure. This week, were looking at three very different movies: 'Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day' (which from here on will now just be called 'Alexander' for obvious reasons), 'The Judge' and 'Dracula Untold.'

Besides the fact that it's October and Halloween comes at the end of the month, we all know its coming when horror and thriller movies become the regular. Also, that's when I stop going to the movies. Because I'm a baby and I'm not ashamed. Well maybe a little.

Let's all MEAT at the moooovies, let's all MEAT at the...oh sorry, didn't see you there. I just got a bit excited for this week's movies. Mostly good excitement, but some bad excitement too.

This week's new movies seem to a have theme. Probably not on purpose but it's there if it's meant to be or not. What is the theme you ask? Being trapped.

This weekend we're looking at three different movie styles; crime drama, thriller and my favorite - docudrama...say that with me...docudrama. It's nice isn't it? Let's start with the bottom of the barrel, for me at least, the thriller, 'No Good Deed' is really based upon the thing parents all tell (or should tell) their kids, don't let strangers in the house...

...Run away from the movie in wide release this weekend. It's really a sad weekend for movies, I blame the schools going back in session or the fact that this summer's box office is the worst its been in 17 years. The only movie in wide release is called 'The Identical...

Three new movies hit the theaters this weekend. The first released this past Wednesday, 'The November Man' and then on Friday 'As Above/So Below' and 'The Congress' open. It is defiantly a weekend to see a movie, though most of these don't have most original ideas...

Lets all take a moment of silence for this weekend's movies. Neither movie that looks like it should be great is looking anywhere near good. The two movies we're looking into are a comedy with Owen Wilson, Zach Galifianakis and Amy Poehler called 'Are You Here' and 'Sin City: A Damn to Kill For...
