A Hudson Valley man who worked on Law & Order as well as other shows was sentenced following a guilty plea on child pornography charges.

Jason Alexander, 51, of Dobbs Ferry plead guilty in January to one count of promoting a sexual performance by a child and one count of possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child, both felonies.

Alexander was charged in July after it was discovered that child pornography was linked to his IP address in Dobbs Ferry.

According to the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office, a forensic examination of computers and external hard drives taken from Alexander’s home revealed digital files of children, less than sixteen years of age, engaged in child pornography.

Tuesday in Westchester County Court, Alexander was sentenced to ten years probation. He must also register as a sex offender with the New York State Sex Offender Registry.

According to his IDMB page, Jason “Jace” Alexander has directed top shows like The BlacklistHouse M.D.Ally McBealXena Warrior PrincessRoyal PainsRescue MeBurn Notice and Lizzie McGuire, as well as 32 episodes of Law & Order.

Alexander’s mother is Tony Award-winning actress Jane Alexander.
