Agents from the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and U.S. Marshals continue to search for the man responsible for a string of armed robberies the past year in Orange and Rockland County. Now the suspect as been added to the ATF's Top Most Wanted Fugitives list. 43 year old Lawrence Michael "Squeaky" Brown Jr is wanted for the armed robbery of the Rite Aid pharmacy in New Windsor on Nov. 14, 2013, the ShopRite in Newburgh on April 4 this year, and an Eckerson Drugs in Hillcrest on Dec 6, 2013. Brown also has an outstanding warrant with the College Park Police Department in Georgia for robbery and Bergen County Sheriff's Office in New Jersey for adult kidnapping.

Agents from the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and U.S. Marshals have been searching for Brown, who has ties to Englewood, New Jersey. The ATF is offering a $2,500 reward for his arrest and urges the public not to approach him, but call 911. Brown acts as a patron or local vendor when he enters a store, then makes his move, according to agents.

Charles Mulham, ATF's spokesman for the New York Field Division says...

After gaining entry into these establishments, Mr. Brown is able to get the victims, usually forcibly restrain them, take them to an area outside the public view and then rob the establishment of cash

 

During the New Windsor robbery, Brown is accused as going so far as dressing as a Pepsi employee, where he would pose questions about inventory to the store manager before allegedly taking out a gun. From there he allegedly emptied two safes after zip tying the manager's hands behind her back. Police say he got away with about $5,900 dollars.

He is roughly 6 feet, 4 inches tall and more than 200 pounds. Anyone with information can call 1-888-283-8477.
